  1. “This background memo was originally published in March 2017 and updated in April 2021.

A well-funded, highly coordinated national effort is underway to call a constitutional convention, under Article V of the U.S. Constitution, for the first time in history. The result of such a convention could be a complete overhaul of the Constitution and supporters of the convention are dangerously close to succeeding. With special interest groups gaining more momentum, conservative advocates are just six states short of reaching the constitutionally-required 34-state goal. They are targeting Republican-controlled legislatures in 2021 and are within striking distance.”

  2. “So what are the lies for, if not to persuade? They are meant to give the already-convinced – the Democratic rank-and-file voter – their ready-made excuses for not paying attention to whatever objections the right may make or point out. ”

Democrats expect to be lied to. It is all part of the great game. But they want a well crafted deceit that lets them choose to suspend disbelief.

It looks like the Biden administration is working the other side of the equation. Rather than carefully crafted deceits, they are counting on information not getting reported. The coddling by their media is making them sloppy when it comes to stagecraft. It won’t matter though.

    1. I believe that the motivation for Democrats this last election cycle was “Orange Man Bad”. Nothing else mattered to the majority of them. Most have now crawled back into their cribs for nappy time. Except for the Marxist elites within their ranks. They are working overtime. Our national election system is a fraud. Until that is fixed, what else matters? Will the Republicans ever wake up and stand up? I have some hope that local Republicans in the so-called “swing states” are working hard at the local level to insure honest elections. But some states have fallen off the blue cliff and are now so corrupt I don’t ever believe they will go red again in my lifetime.
So far not enough to permanently swing the Electoral College but it won’t take much more.

    1. Everyone has a bias as we are all human but the corruption of the Democrat media far exceeds in scope and scale mere difference over portrayal of events through a partisan lens.

When the DNC media lies to you, and I mean you specifically, remember you are their target audience. They aren’t trying to fool Republicans, they are trying to fool people like you and until you get tired of being lied to, they will keep doing it.

You are the dupe here. You aren’t in on the joke, you are the joke. Democrats don’t think very highly of you.

It should be offensive but I think a lot of Democrats get off on it. Shame is part of the kink for them.

      1. I don’t believe the media. Just as I didn’t Radio Moscow some 50 years ago. But I did listen and do watch to see the topics they bring up to see what agenda is important to them, sometimes as a precaution often as an amusement.

        1. If I can vet a story via independent non-journalistic sources then I have at least a foundation to start with.

The amazing thing is that the Internet enables so much information to be accessible it is nearly impossible to suppress it all. It used to be long hours spent in libraries pouring over obscure journals.

That’s why they are so big into AI.

I read the local news to see what they do and don’t cover. It is just Democrat propaganda. It reads like a press release. We get national news that caters to Democrats and the local stuff as well. We don’t get anything about what is going on legislatively, crimes, or corruption unless it serves the party.

Democrat terrorists have been attacking the rail system causing several derailments. A couple people were arrested and convicted. There were more than two people participating, it was a group effort, but only two charged. One of them was a bigwig in the Democrat party. Not a single mention in our local news.

  3. “I remember Jimmy Carter’s presidency well, and as Yogi Berra would often say, “It’s like déjà vu all over again.” Those of us who lived through Carter’s presidency felt positive that he would always be considered the worst president in our lifetimes. Unfortunately, he has lost that title to our current president, Joe Biden. Today, inflation is hurting middle-class families, excessive government spending is crippling our economy, a disastrous foreign policy is leaving Americans stranded, and China and Russia will soon be able to reverse engineer $85 billion of our military hardware we left to the Taliban.”

    And:

“Biden is not up to the job of being the president. It is a 24/7 job, and he has neither the mental acuity nor physical stamina to do it. When presented with options from intelligence officials and from those in Congress with knowledge of the situation in Afghanistan, Biden either failed to understand or completely ignored their concerns and advice. Instead, he executed a knee-jerk, politically motivated, botched operation.”

Notice that the mainstream media is jettisoning the Afghanistan debacle out of news cycle as quickly as possible. Replacing it with a missing (now found dead) girl and her still missing likely murderer fiance and the latest “Cowboys” on the border “whipping” Haitian like “slaves”.

    1. More from “Biden and Harris are unfit for office and should resign by
      Rep. Billy Long”:

“If the Democrats can impeach Trump for a phone call, Biden and Harris must be removed for their total and complete dereliction of duty. If the Democrats in Congress won’t do their jobs and remove them, the president and vice president should do the right thing for the country, for once, and resign immediately.”

The Haitian Migrants aren’t being “whipped”; more like let into the country in mass:

“The AP reported on Wednesday afternoon that, rather than going to temporary processing and then being returned to countries of origin, a large number of the estimated 12,000+ migrants and asylum-seekers gathered at the Texas site, many under a bridge that connects the United States and Mexico, are being “released’ into the United States with notices to appear.

Citing two sources, the AP report indicates that the scale of this release is massive.

“Haitians have been freed on a “very, very large scale” in recent days, according to one U.S. official with direct knowledge of operations. The official, who was not authorized to discuss the matter and thus spoke on condition of anonymity, put the figure in the thousands.”

  4. If we ever manage to get our Constitutional Convention called by the State legislatures I hope among other things they pass some kind of “vote of no confidence” provision similar to what the British have. If maybe two thirds of both Houses of Congress and/or more importantly two thirds of state houses have a vote of no confidence in the President/Congress, a new election is mandated for both. Say within 90 days after said vote. We can’t afford to have a dementia addled President with a locked in four year term; even if Impeached by (hopefully) the new Republican House after Jan ’23 it wouldn’t necessarily shame him into resigning. We need another mechanism for getting rid of dysfunctional corrupt politicians in high office. Maybe more than term limits.
