  1. With ancient Rome, Christianity became the state religion- mainly because they could read.
The teachers unions are a big problem, I would start with that, but it’s more than that.
I guess the meek will inherit the Earth.

  2. This probably belong in the “cratering Democrats” post but:

Obama? He could be appointed, and then when Step 3 is activated he could move right back into the Presidency without violating the twice elected clause.

No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of President more than once.

Okay…but could he be made VP?

But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States.

But he (Obama) wouldn’t be constitutionally ineligible to the office of President since if he took over for Biden he wouldn’t be “elected”; merely assume the office by right of legal constitutional succession not election.

He could fill out the rest of Biden’s term (after he resigned/impeached/25th Amendment) but not be allowed to run again.

Sorry…but forcibly replacing Harris with Barack Obama then force Biden out doesn’t look like the worst case scenario to me. Comments welcome.

Posted this in Samizdata. Looks like a way to get rid of both Harris (first) and then Biden. Obama could serve as VP because he would be eligible to serve as prez if Biden stepped down, just not eligible to stand for election for prez. He could pressure Harris into resigning for the “good of the party” and likely wouldn’t have too much trouble convincing Biden’s cabinet to go along with 25th Amending him. Obama would be the ultimate “lame duck”; he couldn’t stand for re-election in 2024 no matter what with a hostile Republican controlled Senate (likely) & House (very likely). He wouldn’t be able to do much; he couldn’t even get his VP pick unless the Senate agreed to it.
