Most universities are state funded – what else would you expect?
With only a handful of exceptions (Hillsdale and …….?) private schools are worse.
Academias basic function is employing academics and people even less qualified than they – called administrators.
Free ideas? Educate students? Poppycock!
Colleges and universities are INSTITVTIONS. They have no truck with such paltry notions as “basic functions.” They need to protect their administrators’ phony-baloney jobs!!
