  1. I’m sure “Shallow Minded Reader” will be along soon to tell us how this is a sign of Russia’s imminent victory.

          1. Dunno shallow sounds like pretty good , slow work without air superiority.
How many bridges across the Dnipro do the Russians control? How do the Russians intend to supply and feed the 20k men?

          2. Karl, Ctrot, Feel up to giving us an update on how the counter-offensive is going?

Neither side crows about it so I guess it’s a muddled mess with no clear winner. That probably indicates more problems for Ukraine since they’re the ones who need to take back territory.

          3. Now, Ukraine just captured Izium, south of Kharkiv. Southern counteroffensive doesn’t look like it went very well. But it wasn’t the only place they could take. And they’ve just reversed several weeks of Russian offensive.

  2. ISW pointed out a few days ago that over the last six weeks — since Russia announced a week-long “pause” in campaigning (due to utter exhaustion) following their overrunning of the city of Lysychansk, thereafter resuming their offensive — since then, at great cost in lives on both sides, the modern Russian successors to the Red Army have managed to conquer an additional area of Ukraine about the size of Andorra (i.e., a couple of hundred square miles). Victory is imminent!

  3. ISW is ran my Victoria Nuland’s husband. Better check out your sources before swallow.

    1. Question the source, not the fact

Can’t even get the source facts right. I don’t see Robert Kagan name here.

Nah, Lets wait a few days, maybe a week and you can tell us yourself.

Comrade don’t you know Russia doesn’t want to win , they fear daddy will be back in charge and whack them.

      1. Engieer
Guess you missed it Kimberly Kagan married to Fred Kagan who is the brother to Robert Kagan married to Victoria Nuland known for fomenting with the CIA the Ukraine color revolution in 2014 as part of the Obama admin

        1. That is not what you said as a fact, your fact was wrong.

So it is run by in law of a bad person separated by 2 marriages. What you said was a 1st degree of separation (her husband ran it), but no it’s a 3rd degree of separation. So what do they spend time together at Thanksgiving every other year? Have knock down drag out fights over politics at the Thanksgiving table?

Guess the Federalist can’t be trusted either since it is run by John McCain daughter right?

          1. I did a quick check on Federalist as I was curious which McCain daughter. Couldn’t find it. As a part time resident of Arizona, I recoil in horror when the name McCain is mentioned.

          2. See your training is lacking. You seem to know all about your public enemy/boogeyman Victoria Nuland and her husband. But you don’t know which McCain daughter. May be the IRA should do a bit more research on the Federalist founders.

    1. Michael. If you follow the Military Summary Channel on Rumble, he compares the front lines side by side. The ISW goes farther with their “Analysis” perhaps propaganda.

  4. So I had to look some of these people up, and now I have questions. Victoria Nuland? Why isn’t she Victoria Nudelman? Is she ashamed of being a Ukranian Jew? Also, what is a Christian British native? A Pict, maybe? For that matter, why not Victoria Kagan? Is she ashamed of being married to a Lithuanian Jew? I don’t get it.

      1. Guys, It was pretty typical of Jewish immigrants in New York to Anglicize their surnames. Lots of Nudelmans in the Odessa area, so I’ve been told by a local.

Ashamed? Hard to know what goes on in that head. I do know of a family in the Ladies shoe business that now goes by Delman. Better name for shoes.

        1. Dewdz, I was being ironistical. On the other hand, my Silesian Jewish relatives are still named Sokolsky. That’s a relatively euphonious name. Nudelman, on the other hand… unless you happen to be a Soviet weapons designer and can damned well dare anyone to laugh. “Go ahead, shvants. Laugh. Let me know how it feels to get a Nudelman missile up yer dupa.”

  5. Hi Guys
Which of your favorite news sites reported the failed commando raid by Ukraine on the ZPP nuclear power plant yesterday?

    1. Strange my Favorite news site the DPRK News Service has nothing. Not like the Norks to be friendly with the Ukrainians. Must not be any other sources than Russian Defense ministry to back it up yet.

    2. The only reporting I’ve seen on said “failed commando raid on ZPP” is to ridicule it as some of the most preposterous Russian propaganda seen so far (and that’s quite a high bar!).

There is, so far as I know, not one whit of evidence that anything actually occurred. (and if it had, the Russians would have provided video and photos galore, as this suits their narrative).

BTW, in fairness, the Russians aren’t the only ones to be seen blatantly lying about ZPP. Early in the war (during the initial firefight when the Russians were seizing it) the Ukrainians sure as heck did so, by claiming via official sources that this could cause “six Chernobyls”. That was a lie, as it’s physically impossible; the reactor design at ZPP is not graphite-core, and thus it can’t fail in the same way (the graphite core being exposed and burning) to produce that level of disaster.

  6. The only reporting I’ve seen on said “failed commando raid on ZPP” is to ridicule it as some of the most preposterous Russian propaganda seen so far (and that’s quite a high bar!).

CJ even the UN admits it true , watch this they thanked the Russians for protecting the inspection team it must be TRUE.

  7. He thinks citing that counts as other reporting/evidence. From someone who failed to produce the goods before, who should be trusted as much as Dingy Harry Reid.
And besides the blog post was essentially regurgitating the RDM statements as fact and also pointing to the clumsy attempt of 3rd party confirmation that I mentioned as proof. With nothing else supporting it.

    1. Something smells here. I picked this one because it made some pretty concrete claims:

Russian Su-34s and Su-24s, as well as cannon and rocket artillery guns, disabled the pontoon crossings of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Andreevka and began to methodically destroy the enemy forces trapped in the fire bag. The forces in Bezimenne were destroyed.

First, why the tone of certainty? Where did this information come from? I find it bizarre how people just say stuff authoritatively and expect us to take them seriously.

Second, the only Bezimenne I could find is deep in occupied Russian territory (since 2014!) in the corner bordering Russia and Black Sea. There’s no reason to expect serious Ukraine forces that far from the front. Similarly, I can find no evidence for an Andreevka near Kherson – and it is apparently a common name (Italian version too). When I searched for anything concerning that name, I got pro-Russian videos for a “Andreevka near Volnovakha” (which apparently is not far from Bezimenne) and some generic “Andreevka” which could be near anything (some video about Chechen special forces).

So I can’t even find credible locations, much less any sort of verification of the above claim. There are numerous tells that this is not a serious information source.

      1. Sorry Karl positions are about right both are in the Kherson Oblast and probably along some of the early breakthroughs. See the map from the site and googles maps.

Awful flat territory too so if Russians jets can fly they could do serious damage.

          1. Well the site is quoting some Open source intel channel called AZMilitary11 from telegram/ twitter that appears to have a pro Russian bent and also using maps from RYBAR which is another pro Russian OSINT.
And I am guessing is none native English speaker since it refereed to a Ukraine Colonel as being destroyed instead of killed.
Seems more than happy to regurgitate the Russians MOD updates, where few times mention Ukrainian Defense is if it negative to Ukraine.
