    Where does he live that there is a small middle class or such a large majority of neo-serfs?

  2. One of the big differences is that in feudalism is the lords at least had a duty of noblesse oblige, a theoretical obligation to their “lessers” (not always done but at least a stated expectation).

    Neo-feudalism seems to be feudalism without any real hint of such a duty. If anything, it seems there is an outright desire to lord it over the non-elites and very much a “screw ’em, I got mine” outlook of our elites.
