  1. Exercise in a fasted state can help burn stored calories. Waiting until you eat to exercise means you burn the calories you just consumed. Still have to not eat in excess though.

  2. One meal a day wouldn’t work for me. Physical labor (concrete work) tends to be somewhat of a regulator.

  3. I retired 4 years ago.

Since then, I’ve gone from 3 meals, and occasional snacks, a day to one meal a day.

Mostly in the late afternoon/early evening.

I try to not lead a sedentary life style. I’m confused by what my body tells me.

  4. In recent years I’ve had a couple instances of food poisoning.

During each, I had voices in my ears. Weird as it sounds, I’m leaning toward the hypothesis my gut biome was really complaining.

One meal a day doesn’t make me hear voices.

  5. Doesn’t really matter now, but I’ve had a medium small bottle of Sauerkraut unopened in my frig for a couple months because it was supposed to be one of the best things for reestablishing my gut’s friendly microbes.

Had sauerkraut as a kid, from time to time, because visiting relatives from East Europe spoke German, had German ways, even they were not ethnically German.

    They liked their assigned beliefs.

A couple of days ago, I finally broke open that jar.

Turns out, sauerkraut ain’t so bad.
