A Fit Of Sanity In CA
The PUC has voted to keep gas plants open for a few more years.
California
…is now a Third World country.
Yes, it’s insane. We’ve weathered the weather pretty well. Sunday was miserable hot even at the beach; it hit the mid nineties in the middle of the afternoon, and it was too hot to work in the yard. Fortunately, sea breeze started to cool things down, and the temperature had dropped considerably by early evening. We haven’t had any problem sleeping. I’m hoping that the worst is over, but September is the worst month here. I vastly prefer winter in southern California.
Leftist Racism
I think it pretty clearly is. I hope that at some point a federal judge will end this insanity.
The Lockdowns
Were they a mistake?
Yes, certainly, at least in terms of the duration. I think that future historians will think them one of the biggest policy blunders in human history.
More Hypocrisy
It’s good to be part of the Nomenklatura.

Unintended Consequences
Extensive thoughts on speed governors in trucks. This kind of thing would drive me nuts if I were a truck driver.
The BLM Movement
Thoughts on critical race theory.
