Our experience has been quite similar to Virginia Postrel’s, and we feel very fortunate. I can’t imagine how terrible it must be to be cramped in an apartment with too many people, or what a nightmare this has been for parents with children. When it came to Gilligan’s Island, and WKRP, I was a Mary Ann and Bailey Quarters fan. I guess that Tina Louise is the only surviving cast member.
It’s not obvious that if she hadn’t died from Covid she wouldn’t have succumbed to flu. She apparently had been having heath issues.
