🧵: I discovered this woman, who I call Loab, in April. The AI reproduced her more easily than most celebrities. Her presence is persistent, and she haunts every image she touches. CW: Take a seat. This is a true horror story, and veers sharply macabre. pic.twitter.com/gmUlf6mZtk
Saw my cardiologist a couple months ago. He still wants me on them because he thinks my cholesterol level is too high. I continue to refuse. My only risk is my parentage, and they were both overweight smokers.
Oh, and by the way, I don’t think this would be “World War III.”
What we now call WW I wasn't really a world war; it largely involved Europe, and didn't involve Asia at all. Similarly, if NATO goes to war with Russia, it will primarily be a European war, but unless China gets involved (unlikely) it won't be a world war.
The only way that this war will become a world war is if China decides to simultaneously (or not long afterward) take Taiwan, which would drag Asia (and maybe America) into the conflict.
I’ve noticed that in public-policy areas in which we do a crap job of risk assessment/tradeoffs, it is areas in which there are policy agendas independent of the actual issues.
