I’ve never bought the official story of what happened to TWA 800. I think the government was gaslighting the witnesses who saw the missiles. This sounds entirely plausible to me, sadly. The only strange thing about it is that people reportedly said that they’d downed an Airbus, when it was a Boeing.

I’ve been saying for decades that I’d never raise a kid in California; they should be raised someplace with weather and culture that will make them tougher, and then be allowed to move there. But now the state has provided another reason.
