Yes, it’s insane. We’ve weathered the weather pretty well. Sunday was miserable hot even at the beach; it hit the mid nineties in the middle of the afternoon, and it was too hot to work in the yard. Fortunately, sea breeze started to cool things down, and the temperature had dropped considerably by early evening. We haven’t had any problem sleeping. I’m hoping that the worst is over, but September is the worst month here. I vastly prefer winter in southern California.
That would be good in terms of travel time, but a huge downgrade from the 747 in terms of comfort and ability to take large entourages of press and staff. Anyway, it seems unlikely to happen within Trump’s term of office.
It’s a safer design than the traditional reactors, but I’d still like to see more innovative ones. But even this will beat the hell out of “renewables.”
When I was young, I loved exploring the back roads and forgotten byways in my MG (and later, other vehicles). But now we have a generation that doesn’t even like to drive.
