I’m tired of extending unemployment benefits. How about a federal jobs bank instead? I’d rather people sweep streets, fill pot holes, data entry – whatever. But just throwing money at a problem is not the solution. the people i know on unemployment don’t even leave their house. they do every thing via the internet, get deposits on a debit card and lie when asked ‘did you look for work?’. I’m not saying everyone is doing this but there are certainly some. At least make them put on some pants and show up in person for the check.
