I wouldn’t call the social justice mobs fascist because that would be a gross insult to actual Fascists, who believed in inclusivity and unity, and that race was a meaningless marker and just a way elites had kept the common people fighting among themselves. Mussolini himself dated a string of Jewish women.
The woke mob is more like the German National Socialists, minus the emphasis on hygiene, law and order, and proper behavior. When powerful people are convinced they are victims, and seek vengeance for imaginary abuses, everybody becomes a target for censorship, cancellation, and elimination.
I’m reluctant to take this story at face value. Apparently, Gould lied about being present at a controversial fraternity event.
Having said that, it appears that the event in question was innocuous and was controversial through rather trivial things, like the possible presence of a confederate flag.
Ever notice that when you use the word ‘Social’ as an adjective it usually can be interpreted as an intransitive verb?
