We drove up the coast from Newport Beach to Long Beach yesterday. In Huntington Beach, while there were signs saying no parking in the lots or along the Coast Highway, we saw people riding on the bike paths, and walking on the beach, many without masks, and seemingly unhindered.

We certainly aren’t well served by the current college-admissions process, but there is also too much pressure to get a subpar (at best) education for the actual purpose of getting a credential.
