She seems like a dumpster fire of a human being, but my question is: Was there some point at which she was physically attractive? I’ve never seen it. How did she become a model?

Sperm On Mars
Ummmm…no.
There is a lot more involved in human reproduction on Mars than the survival of the sperm. We continue to have no idea if we can safely gestate in partial gravity.
Net Zero
The West’s suicide note.
Jim Treacher
…has started a substack account. If you enjoy reading his stuff enough, subscribe.
Heredity And Lifespan
This is very good news, if true. Both of my parents died of heart attacks fairly young (I’ve now outlived my father by more than a decade, and will beat my mother in a couple years), but they were both obese and smokers. I have a clean bill of health as of a year or so ago, in terms of plaque, even though I ignore the criminally terrible nutrition advice from the federal government.
The Second Amendment
More ahistorical BS about it.
This is as bad as the 1619 Project. Racism has been inextricable from gun-control advocacy at least up to the 1970s. The people who opposed the Second Amendment are the same ones who opposed blacks being armed, and to a large degree, they remain so.
Germany
…is a bad ally. Which is why Biden and Blinken (why do I want to add “and Nod” to the end of that?) want to make nice with a former East German chancellor.
West Virginia Values
With Joe Manchin, “no” means no.
History may view him as a savior of the Republic.
[Friday-morning update]
DNC head: “Joe Manchin hates America.“
Keep the popcorn coming.

The Ruling Class
…has sullied itself one time too many.
[Update a while later]
The fall of Yale.
[Update a while more later]
Government is just a name for things we do together, like losing $400B to unemployment fraud.
The Early Progressives
Why they rejected America’s founding principles.
Hey, the current ones do, too.
